Psychoanalytical chat: On the Special Resistance that Psychoanalytic Insight Faces

The resistance that psychoanalytic theory meets in social culture sometimes resembles the behaviorization of transference resistance seen in clinical situations, even if it isn’t transference resistance. It isn’t a transference reaction to the clinical treatment of reproduce "uncontrollable impulses of the forgotten past," but a resistance to the common self-deceptive self-understanding that is a common human weakness, as a common kind defense mechanism to limit and obscure the truth of the uncontrollable unconscious which"I can never be my own tyrant", and try to let this truth be disguised in the illusion that self-centeredness. It is the resistance of a habitual mode of behavior, or an acting schema, that emerges come from such a common human weakness, that’s an inability to accept the truth that one can never be one's own tyrant. Human, as they resist the instinctual sexual nature of the unconscious mind, tend to maintain an immature and superficial sense of safety while avoiding responsibility for the conflict between sexual desire and taboos. As they try to maintain a superficial sense of safety while avoiding responsibility for the conflict between sexual desire and taboos, they fall into a lack of insight. They then confront conflicts between self-control of narcissism and the unconscious, which cannot be directly grasped. Similarly, they continue to fall into the same lack of insight, while trying to maintain a superficial sense of safety while avoiding responsibility. In social and cultural contexts, hostility towards the truth pointed out by psychoanalysis generally reflects the behavior of resistance that hope to thoroughly undermines such self-understanding.

Therefore, what mechanism does this resistance use? It includes the mechanism of inertia that tries to avoid introspection and confidence of changes in the internal world's structure. When viewed through the perspective of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), resistance can be said to use the opposite of MBCT's operations. In MBCT, "actively paying attention to specific experiences in a specific way. Deliberately directing attention to the present moment without judging" (by Kabat-Zinn, J.) allows one to control unpleasant moods and emotions by manipulating attention, gaining self-understanding, appropriately placing attention to unpleasant moods and emotions that inevitably arise depending on the environment, and appropriately directing attention to them as if they were appropriate optimal stimuli. And, the operating mechanism of resistance is able to be summarised to the mechanism by which attention to the psychological consciousness, preconsciousness, and unconsciousness forms a map, the map of psychological consciousness, preconsciousness which as Freud pointed out in "The Interpretation of Dreams". And this resistance, in other words, it living in dynamic process of such daydream-like work, is dynamically forming and changing.

On the other hand, the type of resistance to psychoanalysis mentioned earlier, like the reverse operation of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), deliberately diverts attention away from one's experience in such a way as to create symptoms. Regardless of the form of resistance used, it ultimately deliberately and inappropriately diverts attention away from the present moment of experience, avoids the unconscious truth that one cannot consciously face, avoids psychoanalysis and intellectual insight, mainly avoids emotional insight, tries not to touch emotional insight and tries to keep it away, so the attention doesn’t seek proximity to the inclination of emotional insight, but rather seeks to move away from the inclination of insight. While maintaining such a "lack of insight, immature and superficial normal facade" without understanding one's own unconscious, and continuing to avoid responsibility for one's true psychological state, while not directing attention to the painful realities of the unconscious that are difficult to face, various behaviors without accompanying insight are taken to deceive oneself and release stress. This strong resistance maintains a diffuse and sticky "emotion that resists emotional insight," some systems of entangled complex emotions that often emerges in response as the analysis deepens.

Through the use of "distorted image" accusations and the painting of bad impressions, unconsciously and deliberately projecting bad feelings into the psychoanalytic interpretation, and then incorporating and identifying with the bad image into their inner cognition world after their projective identification, they projected identification with a state and a feeling of dislike, and then incorporate and identify with it, and fictionalize the projected psychoanalysis or a particular interpretation of psychoanalysis into a dislikeable image. Then, it makes one's attention to one's psychoanalysis or psychoanalytic interpretation disgusting, diverting one's unconscious attention away from the psychoanalytic interpretation, mainly resisting the mechanistic free association of repression or turning one's attention away from the unconscious image while letting one's state of lack of insight remain intact by avoiding one's own responsibility. they hope theirs attention is focus on return to such a state of mind which uses “consciousness-preconsciousness" system” to become “avoidance of responsibility” or/and “lack of insight”, it is an unconscious mechanism of resistance that seeks to maintain the feeling that immature pretended  "normalcy" for the sake of self-deception.
